We would sincerely like to thank the several male members of the public who have shown a keen interest in joining the Pyrates Association. We shall respond to all such indications of interest individually. Thank you.
We are a new organisation and due to our formation and consolidation program would not be recruiting any members for the rest of 2017. It is our intention recruit small numbers of new members by invitation only, for now. In future, we may also accept solicited applications for membership from the public only if the prospective candidate is sponsored by two existing members of the Pyrates Association. Only those can serve society without the expectation of reward and are committed to the rules of civic and professional morality need apply.
It should be emphasised that the Pyrates Association is NOT a University Campus Grown Fraternity and will NOT be run like one in any manner or form. Those who are looking to join an organisation where machismo, bravado, empleomania, racketeering and psychopathy are highly valued should look to join any UCGF of their choice, there are quite a few of them.
